No team. No account managers. No one between you and the work getting done. Just me — and fifteen years of figuring out exactly what that means.

The Person Behind the Work.

How This Started

I Built This Because I Watched the Alternative Fail.

Before Three Mules existed, I worked directly inside a local business — doing their social media, managing their digital presence, working alongside the agency they had hired to handle everything else.

At first, the agency was responsive. Friendly. Then things started slipping. Changes didn't happen. Calls went unreturned. Updates got delayed for weeks. The business owner was paying for someone who had essentially stopped showing up — and had no real way to escalate, because he didn't fully understand what he'd signed up for.

I started asking questions. And the more I asked, the more I realized this wasn't just one bad agency. It was a pattern.

Business owners around here were being approached by outside sales teams with polished pitches and big promises. They were signing contracts they didn't fully understand. Some didn't own their own domains. Some couldn't access their own Google Business Profiles — and didn't know it. One business owner I know spent years paying for a website she had no ability to update, no ownership of, and no path out of. The agency kept telling her she had access. She didn't.

That's not a horror story about one bad actor. That's what happens when marketing is sold as a mystery — something too complicated for the business owner to understand, so they should just trust the process and keep paying the invoice.

I decided to do the opposite.

The Background

Trained to Tell the Truth. Built to Make It Work.

I hold a BS in Journalism with a PR major and an Advertising minor from Murray State University — a combination that required an extra semester of coursework and covered more strategic ground than most marketing degrees touch. PR is reputation management and persuasion. Advertising is creative strategy and audience psychology. Journalism is clarity, accuracy, and knowing when something is true versus when it just sounds good.

That combination didn't happen by design. I went back to school in 2007 after taking time away, found the Journalism department, and discovered that everything I actually loved — writing, storytelling, structure, creative thinking — lived there. The major and minor combination just fit. It wasn't until I was deep into it that I realized how much it was shaping the way I think about brands, messaging, and strategy. Some of that path was chosen. Some of it was shaped by people who believed in where it was going before I did.

Before and during that, I spent fifteen years working in hospitality. Servers don't get credit for the business skills they develop — managing multiple priorities under pressure, reading people quickly, making every interaction feel personal even when the room is full. That systematic efficiency and genuine customer orientation is baked into everything I do at Three Mules. When I say I treat your business like it matters, that's not a tagline. It's how I was trained to work.

Why It Works This Way

Marketing Literacy Over Dependency.

Most agencies benefit from keeping their clients confused. When you don't understand what's being done or why, you can't evaluate whether it's working, and you can't leave without feeling like you're starting from zero. That dependency isn't accidental. It's a business model.

Three Mules is built on the opposite premise. I want you to understand what you're investing in. I want you to own everything we build — your domain, your accounts, your data, your content. I want you to know what's working and why. Not because I'm trying to phase myself out, but because a client who understands their marketing makes better decisions, asks better questions, and builds something that actually lasts.

I cap my roster at 12 to 15 clients deliberately. Not because I can't take more — because the clients I have deserve someone who actually knows their business. When you work with Three Mules, you work with me. I answer the calls. I do the work. I know your customers' names. That's not a feature. That's the whole point.

Where We Put Our Money

We Use These Platforms.
We Also Hold Them Accountable.

Five percent of every social media service invoice Three Mules Marketing collects goes directly to Parents RISE — a national, survivor parent-led movement demanding tech accountability and real protections for kids online.

We work inside these platforms every day. We know what they're capable of building — and what they've chosen to ignore. Supporting Parents RISE isn't a contradiction. It's the only honest thing to do.

Parents RISE is an incorporated nonprofit currently in the process of receiving IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. EIN: 41-3137936.
